The TNT show Leverage had an episode that guest starred both Matt Keesler and Mark Sheppard. It was called: The Zanzibar Market Job.

I’ve been spotting shout-outs to LOST on a couple of shows lately, e.g. an armored car numbered 481516 on Alcatraz and Apollo Bars on Once Upon A Time (neither is surprising as both shows are by former LOST staffers).
This got me thinking, what current shows would we love to see slip in a shout-out to The Middleman and is anyone aware of any shout-outs that have already happened?
Of course, the ultimate version of this would be for a current show to have one of the MM actors do a cameo appearance that could be reasonably construed as a ref to their MM character. I’m not talking about having Natalie or Matt appear as Dubbie or MM on Warehouse 13 (although that would rock), I’m thinking more subtle shout-outs.
For example, here’s one I’d love to see: Noser hanging out with his guitar outside the apartment on New Girl.
Anyone else have any amusing ideas for MM shout-outs?
This is a really cool idea!
Do any of you guys have ideas? Leave them in the ask box or submit them, and I’ll post them over the course of the next week or so. Bonus points if you ‘shop a graphic to go along!
The Twitter conversation that led me to Google “Middleman fanart,” which it turn helped me discover GoshYesTheMiddleman.

A blog post by Henry Jenkins, the Provost’s Professor of Communications, Journalism, and Cinematic Art at the University of Southern California about The Middleman—a few years old, but still a pretty awesome read.
A friend wrote me this mini-crossover:
Ted makes his way through the cubicle-forest: “At Veridian Dynamics, we aren’t just another boring office. Exciting things happen all the time! Even last week the accounting department forgot the difference between 6 and 9 due to the gas leak over their office. We—”
“Look out!”Lem and Phil pushed past Ted, both waving huge shiny weapons. “There it goes!” shouted Lem.
Phil turned around and flashed a huge grin at Ted. “This is the best thing ever!” he says, waving the large shiny weapon around frantically.
An exceptionally large attractive man nodded at Ted as he politely moved by. “Pardon me, sir. Doctor Myman, please direct your weapon in the direction it’s intended to go. Hurry up, Dubbie!”
“What—?” Ted blinked at them.
Veronica tilted her head at the man. “Oddly, this EPA agent isn’t nearly as attractive as the one we had last week. It’s good to see the government starting to trade up for better models.” She huffs a little as the man breaks into a trot to keep up with the bounding Lem and Phil. “I think I have a chemical spill he needs to see to.”
“Sorry,” a short attractive brunette bumped Ted out of the way. “Octo-chicken.” She peered down the hallway and sighed. “Use the Quad-Dela-Ran-Sha!”
“He knows the Quad-Dela-Ran-Sha?” Veronica demanded, a familiar gleam in her eye.
“It’s an ancient Peruvian martial arts based on—-“
“Slapping, I know.” Ted says.
“You’ve experienced the Quad-Dela-Ran-Sha?”
Ted shudders. “It was like being attacked by a younger sister with a hundred arms and angry, angry hands.”
“We made a snake like that once,” Lem announced, popping up behind them.
“Just arms, though, no legs,” Phil added. “And it was a male.”
The brunette eyed them suspiciously. “Did you set it loose on the locals?”
“It spent all its time writing a hundred different pages of whiny snake poetry simultaneously,” Phil said sadly.
“On the up side, it did rhyme!” Lem added brightly.
“Of course it rhymed, all it wrote was hiss hiss hiss,” Ted snapped, and then turned back to the brunette. “Who are you people?”

(Submitter’s note: Actually, speaking of crossovers, and Better Off Ted, and The Middleman, I wrote one a while back. It’s not very exciting, but it was fun.)
